Today, there simultaneously were two demonstrations in Vienna, on the same place: Stephansplatz. 2 Demos with 2 petitions... you just needed to act carefully, because one petition was in favour of a free Tibet and the other one was against the EU and claiming the withdrawal of Austria from the EU. Of course I signed the first one, and went to the stand of the second demo to talk a bit more with those Austrian fighters. They said "Neutralität, Neutralität, des woll ma ned verlieren" ... "wir sind seit Johrn Nettozohia...", "ma woll a ned mi'n and'ren Lända teil'n", and so on and so forth... then I said "what about European citizens if you leave the EU ?", "is ma wu'scht" (I don't care) was the answer... anyway, I don't care as well. Just it was strange to see so many young people that look just like you and me undersigning the petition. Some people were walking in the streets of the city center with banners "EU-treaty: save Austria..." or "wer in der Demokratie schläft... wacht in der Diktatur auf!"... and then again "free Tibet!"... a bit confusing, don't you think? If you stood right in the middle, you could have claimed "free Austria!" or "Tibet, Austritt aus der EU!" without disturbing anyone.
