Hi everyone !

Tonight I saw a very pleasant movie from Frank Tashlin, "The glass bottom boat", in French "La blonde défie le FBI" (notice the translation isn't friendly to the original name). A movie with Doris Day, from 1966, where she's acting a blond woman working as a secretary in an office linked to the NASA. She falls in love with her boss and then is suspected to be a spy... first she doesn't know but when she does, she decides to play the role of a spy! I had a lot of fun watching this film.

And I can remember, on the same channel, Arte, I saw before Christmas 2 movies with Audrey Hepburn, also pretty interesting. The first is "Breakfast at Tiffany's", in French "Diamants sur canapé", directed by Blake Edwards in 1961. A very good film in fact, with strange characters and finally a fine romance. In this movie, you can hear Audrey Hepburn sing "Moon River", this eternal song that has been sung after by stars like Frank Sinatra.

The second movie is Charade, 1963, directed by Stanley Donen. That time, again another story with spies everywhere, with a lot of misunderstandings.

Of course it's somewhere logical that Hollywood was inspired by spies those times of Cold War. Lots of people feared communism in the US, as I learned it at school, and it was common thought to imagine that Soviet spies were at each corner of each big city in the United States. And how interesting it is to see that in the 2 espionage movies quoted above, the spies are women ! And each time they have crafty plans to reach their goals...
Anyway I find those films very interesting and full of meanings ! ...
